How to apply:
Candidates are required to go to any Branch of State Bank of India and pay the amount of prescribed fees and postage and get receipt from the branch. The receipt should be retained and produced at the time of written test. The candidates are required to apply online through website / mode of application will be accepted. The last date of registering applications is 31.01.2010. Application registration on our website will be open from 01.01.2010 to 31.01.2010.

SBI 1717 PROBATIONARY OFFICERS RECRUITMENT BEGINS

State Bank of India is back again with another recruitment of 1700 Probationary Officers for its 6 associate banks.SBI recently conducted a record recruitment of 11000 clerks ,for which more than candidates 36 lakh applications were received. Now,the bank is inviting applications for jobs in its associate banks.

SBI is conducting recruitment for its 6 associate banks - State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur (SBBJ), State Bank of Hyderabad (SBH), State Bank of Indore (SBIND), State Bank of Mysore (SBM), State Bank of Patiala (SBP), State Bank of Travancore (SBT)

Dates : Online Registration dates - January 01, 2010 to Jan 31st, 2010

Fee payment dates : January 1st - Jan 25, 2010

Date of Written Exam : March 07, 2010 (Sunday)

Position – Vacancies – Payscale :

Probationary Officers – 1717 posts – Rs.10000-18240 (refer notice for vacancy details)

Eligibility : Candidates interested to apply for this SBI recruitment,refer below :

Age limitwithin 21 yrs – 30 yrs (as on 31.1.2010) relaxation applies
Education* Must have scored 60% aggregate (55% for SC/ST) in 12thAND 55% in Degree (50% for SC/ST)
* Diploma holders(full time) after 10th std with 60% (55% for SC/ST) can apply.

Selection : The selection process for all 6 associate banks will have one common written test .The objective written test will be for 2 hrs & has the following sections - Test of English Language, Test of General Awareness, Marketing & Computers, Test of Data Analysis & Interpretation,Test of Reasoning. The descriptive test will be for 1 hr & will have questions based on English language.

* Qualified candidates from written test will move to Group discussion & Interview.

Application : Candidates have to pay Rs.50 (SC/ST) or Rs.500 (other categories) as fees, at any SBI branch, by using the cash voucher given at the website of www.statebankofindia.com between Jan 1st to Jan 25th 2010 only. The details of the payment have to be entered while submitting online application.

state bank results expected in january 2010

State Bank of India is expected to announce the results for 11,000 clerks recruitment in the month ofJanuary 2010, according to our sources. Around 36 lakh applications were received from interested candidates for these posts,which itself is a record number. Following this,written exams were held on November 8th,15th & 22nd across India.
Date of Results : SBI releases the results of written exams formost of their recruitment examswithin 2 months from the date of test.For instance,the exam results for SBI Management Executive posts ,held on Sep 13th 2009 was announced on their website by November 14th 2009. So,the written test results for recruitment of 11,000 clerks can also be expected during January 2010.
Selection : According to the job notification for requirement of clerical staff, SBI has mentioned that candidates will be called for Interview in the ratio of 1 : 3 (vacancy : candidates).Approximately33,000 candidates may be called depending upon the score in test & ranking compared with other candidates.(see state wise vacancy position list)
Cut Off Marks : The passing marks will be decided by the bank authorities only,based on the performance of all candidates in each test.Apart from this , candidates should have scored minimum of 40% aggregate (bank can vary this) to be called for Interview.
Whatever it maybe,candidates are eagerly waiting for the results,one reason being theincrease in salary for bank employees,announced recently.
